Choose a Face Cream

Facial care is an important point of all self-care. Whether this care is right or not, or its absence at all – all this will undoubtedly affect your appearance. And the means, by which you take care, especially for your face, is a very important point at any age. And in order to find the ideal cream that is right for you, you need to know how to choose the right face cream and what nuances you should pay attention to when choosing. I think I’m not the only one familiar with this situation: a lot of jars, half used or completely untouched, which were bought in search of their ideal cream, on advice or simply because of the beautiful packaging. And if you have a problem skin, then finding your “own” cream is even harder. And this search can last a very long time, until there is no empty space left in the bathroom.

Today I will share with you what parameters I choose a face cream, I hope for someone the eternal problem of finding your ideal face cream will be left behind.

The first parameter from which you need to start choosing any remedy is the type of skin

There are four kinds of skin types, and it’s not just that, since a cream intended for dry skin is not suitable for oily skin, because these creams have completely different tasks with which they are intended to fight.

Cream for dry and prone to dry skin type choose with more saturated textures (with oils, silicone, wax, lanolin).

For fatty and fat-prone skin type, on the contrary, lighter textures (serums, gels, emulsions, fluids, with the possible content of silicones, but without waxes and without dense oils) will do.

When the type of skin is determined, we turn to the definition of a problem that needs to be solved with the help of a face cream.

Choose a Face Cream

If you have an increased production of sebum and the presence of acne, then a cream with a light texture will fit without the presence of oils, labeled oil free (without oils) and noncomedogenic (non-medogenous). Such creams reduce the possibility of new rashes and blockages of the pores. The composition should be: retinol (Vitamin A), niacinamide (vitamin B3), zinc, sulfur, tea tree, sage, chamomile, rosemary, calendula, allantoin, panthenol). If you use medicines against acne, then they should be used before applying the cream.

Dry skin suited cream with a saturated dense texture with oils and lipids. On the label you are looking for: cholesterol, sphingosine, ceramides, lecithin, sphingolipids.

If the skin is also dehydrated , then you need moisturizing face cream consisting of: hyaluronic acid, malic and lactic acid, aloe vera, saccharides, amino acids, glycerol, sorbitol, urea, squalane, xylitol, elastin, collagen, chitosan.

If the skin is dull, tired to look at , then you will benefit from a cream with vitamins, mild acids and antioxidants, consisting of: malic and lactic acid, green tea, coenzyme Q10, vit. A, C, E.

For a sensitive, allergy-prone skin, you need a cream without perfumes, dyes, any irritants. The composition should be very simple with soothing ingredients. And then you need to study the label well, because both chemical and natural ingredients can be allergic, so in the cream for sensitive skin type often includes neutral components, such as silicone. On the label, look for soothing and anti-inflammatory ingredients: aloe, calendula, chamomile, allantoin, panthenol, hyaluronic acid, azulene, bisabolol.

If you have couperose , then give preference to strengthening the vessels. The components that strengthen the vessels and the anti-sucking ones will help you: extracts of leaves of grapes, horse chestnut, lime, cornflower, calendula, chamomile, blueberry, sweet clover, red tea, ginkgo biloba, bisabolol, panthenol, aloe, vit, A, C, E, grape oil bones, seaweed. Do not forget about the massage to improve the microcirculation and tone of the vascular walls.

Also, when choosing a face cream, do not forget to take into account age-related changes

If you are under 25 and your skin does not need any treatment, then an easy moisturizing face cream with vitamins and herbal extracts is suitable.

If you are over 25, creams with antioxidants, hyaluronic acid, collagen, algae, proteins, silicon to prevent skin aging and wrinkle formation, to preserve the skin’s strength and its hydration, will suit.

After 35, we need a cream with anti-aging ingredients, containing antioxidants, collagen, hyaluronic acid, phyto-stem cells, silicon, etc.

From the time of the year depends not only, I crap the clothes you wear, but also what kind of face cream to choose for use

In summer, use lighter creams, and in winter, on the contrary more dense, regardless of your skin type.

In the summer, care consists in protecting and moisturizing during the day, in recovery and nutrition in the evening.

It is better if your summer cream is without silicones and oils, because in summer, sebum is more intense, and silicones and oils form a protective film, which can lead to clogging of the pores. Especially in hot time, dense textures are not quite comfortable on the skin. But the serums are light and well-felt on the skin in the summer, especially if you have a fatty skin type.

In the summer, give priority to moisturizing facial creams with antioxidants, they are simply necessary in such a period of sun activity. Humidification is very important in summer due to dry air and scorching sun, for the same reason one should not forget about sun protection, so choose a cream with SPF (about 15 and 30 at adolescence, pregnancy, lactation, with hormonal interruptions, with pigmentation and a tendency to it).

In the winter, care is to protect and nourish the day, to restore and moisturize in the evening.

In winter, as in summer, weather conditions (strong wind, snow, dry air, sharp temperature changes, frosts) cause stress to the skin, so the protection and nutrition of the skin is so important in winter. Especially in winter, the production of sebum is less, the skin becomes drier and needs support for the lipid barrier of the skin and the water-fat balance.

Winter day cream for the face should protect and nourish the skin well. It is better if the winter day cream will be a dense texture containing oils, lanolin, wax, silicone, even better with vitamins and a little SPF protection. And the evening cream should pay attention to moisturizing the skin, as frequent changes in temperature and dry air greatly dehydrate and dry the skin.

In winter care, the main thing to remember is that moisturizing creams and face gels should not be applied in the daytime due to the high water content, which in winter can freeze on your face, which will lead to peeling, hypothermia and skin disruption. In general, any cream contains water, so it is worth applying the cream about 30-60 minutes before the release, so that during this time the water has absorbed.

How to choose a day and night face cream

With the winter and summer period, we figured out, it remains only to deal with the day and night cream for the face. The fact is that the difference between day and night cream is only in protection, but what you want to get from the cream (nutrition / moisturizing) depends only on your choice. For the skin, protection is important in the daytime, and at night it simply does not need it. Therefore, when choosing a cream, you cannot pay attention to the inscription “day / night”. Choose a cream that suits your needs (skin type, age, hydration / nutrition, problem to be solved) and under the time of the year.
